Fi - The Interactive Firm: Porsche Motorsport App

As the world's largest race car manufacturer, Motorsport is a key component of the Porsche brand and its racetrack heritage. For this project, Porsche approached Fi with the the task of creating an engaging and informative iPhone app that would serve as a gateway into the world of Porsche Motorsport. The result was a mobile portal that organizes and displays various race news and information feeds directly from Porsche and delivers an up-to-date and immersive experience for motorsport enthusiasts.

The Challenge

The majority of information within the app comes from dynamic Porsche feeds (news, stats, etc), so a logical organization of the various content categories was a key requirement. Whatever the content, be it up-to-the-minute results of the Le Mans race, a detailed profile of the new GT3 R Hybrid car or the latest Motorsport videos from Porsche, the user must be able to find and enjoy it with minimum effort. Creating the app architecture and user flow that enables such an experience was the major challenge. In addition, the team was tasked with presenting a wide range of Porsche Motorsport feed content in a consistent format to keep the user oriented and limit confusion.

The Result

Wrapped in an attractive and intuitive interface, the final product accomplished the goal of being a full-featured mobile portal into the world of Porsche Motorsport. Users are able to stay up to date on the latest race news, schedules and results, learn about Porsche Motorsport cars and their drivers, as well as access live tracking of the Nürburgring 24 Hours race.
